If you are like a lot of people, maybe you have picked up the bible more than a few times in your life but you have yet to read the entire thing, not even close. And even if you have the true meaning might still escape you. That’s how I felt until I made the bible part of my daily life. It’s so easy not to think about something that is so near to all Christians hearts and yet we don’t spend as much time as we would like devoting ourselves. Before I picked up the daily bible guide I would always pick up the bible and get lost in the meaning of whatever part I began reading at the time and put it down before I knew it with intentions to learn more tomorrow, always tomorrow or next week. Who was I kidding?
In the Bible, you can learn through a series of little stories. Jesus was able to teach people in a way that inspired them and in a way they could understand his teachings about things like forgiveness, strength, love, hope, family, and more. If only we could get the same clarity as if we were learning about faith from Jesus himself, wouldn’t that be great? While this may not be possible right now, what is possible is to find a way to better understand the true meanings of the bible so that you can use them in everyday life, be happier, and truly become a better human. After all, the bible teaches how to become a better person and live a more fulfilled life. I don’t know about you, but if there was a simple way to do this I would be the first one in line, and as it turns out I did find something to help me with this.
It’s important to know that you do not have to be perfect in order to learn more about the bible because everybody makes mistakes and does not always have time or the means to live the perfect life. What is even better is you don’t even have to learn every line to understand the meanings behind the stories. The secret is to learn little by little, taking a few moments out of each day and to begin applying these lessons to your daily life. The feeling you get from living the way the bible teaches has a feeling unlike any other. It may be different for other people but when I knew I was living with just a little piece of the bible’s teachings and I felt a sense of pride, happiness, and fulfillment, like I knew without a doubt that I was doing right in my life, something I am not always so sure of.
With the bible reading plan I am using I find it really simple to find the time to learn every day without sacrificing the time I need for everything else in my busy life. When I wake up in the morning and have my coffee, instead of turning on the tv or just sitting there, I turn on my computer and learn a few lessons that I can take with throughout the day in just a couple of minutes. Then while im on my lunch break, I can easily get a few more bible verses and general words of wisdom. It makes me so much happier, when instead of taking part of the gossip in the office and doing things like stressing about deadlines or what I might be making the kids for dinner, to just take a few minutes and learn these important lessons.
Its funny how after highschool or college we forget how little we are learning each day. With a new routine of reading bible verses I have learned so much about things I thought I already knew. Things like love, forgiveness, faith, family, hope and strength are all talked about and these are things that if you grow to understand can make your life more complete and full of joy.
One of the things I have begun to do after reading the online bible plan is to sit down at the table with a pen and paper to write them down myself because it helps me to be able to really look at my favorite verses I have read throughout the day or the previous week. I never thought that once I got started I would actually want to make more time to study what I was learning about. The biggest thing I have noticed is that all my relationships seem to be getting better and people have started telling me recently that I just seem happier. One of my friends even said she change was starting to rub off on her and she thanked me for it. That was the happiest moment I have had in a long time, to know that I had positively affected somebody’s life with something so simple. Even though I barely take any time out of my day for the simple bible reading plans, they have made a big impact on my life.

What does it mean to Forgive Someone?
Forgiveness is not always an easy thing. Since you are reading this you probably want to forgive someone or receive it yourself but are struggling with it. This is natural for everyone including Christians. But there are many ways to become more educated on the topic and ways to help to know when it is the right time to forgive someone and also receive it in return. Forgiveness is related to a lot of different things, faith, grace, choice, will, and mercy among others.
One important thing to remember about forgiveness is you must be sincere when you go about it. This goes if you are telling someone you forgive them and also if you are doing it internally and don’t tell anyone. If you do not mean what you are trying to do, you are not sincere then the act as well as the intention is lost along with the rewarding feelings afterwards that come with it.
Insincere forgiveness can be likened to the conditioned behavior of a child. Parents often encourage or force their children to apologize when they have done something wrong. But when this happens is the child really sincere? Sometimes, buts it’s more than likely they do not understand fully what they are doing when they say “I am sorry” or “its ok we can still be friends.” Real forgiveness requires deep understanding of the offense that has been done to you. An individual must not bury it in their thoughts or avoid it, what has been done must be faced and accepted.
While it is not always possible, it is often helpful to understand why the person did the things they did. If you are lucky enough to be in a position where this is an option, you should take the valuable opportunity to ask the person who did you wrong. Often times, simply seeing things from their point of view will help with the forgiveness process. Even if you would not have taken the same course of action they did, understanding can still develop about why they decided to behave a certain way. Even just realizing they failed to take you into as much consideration as you would have thought to be fair can be a big revelation. This among many other situations happened to me and it helped me to realize this person who had hurt me was not trying to be malicious but was instead simply being selfish and not taking my feelings into account. Just this realization as with many others that come from higher understanding of a person and situation can go a long way in the process of forgiveness. That being said, I will now share a few of my favorite bible verses on forgiving someone
